I was not fortunate enough to see Freddie play live. He was gone long before I ever heard his music. But I got to see his former keyboard player on several occasions. The late great Deacon Jones put on a great show as well.

It happens. I'm glad he was okay. Even though I am in my mid-sixties myself, it's still weird to hear the ages of some of our popular artists.

One of my blues guitar heroes. Probably Freddie King. They called him the "Texas Cannonball". So Texas barbecue would be on the menu.

Sorry, I just saw your reply. When we go to this restaurant we always get a dozen oysters on the half shell first. Then the main course varies depending on the day.

I recently started blogging and try to write for an hour first thing in the morning. After that, if I don't have anything else scheduled, I go to the gym or go for a long walk.

2 to 3 cups of coffee before noon. Mainly water the rest of the time. An occasional martini with my wife on the weekend. 🍸

This year is all about change. I am both adjusting to retired life and starting a solopreneur business.

On New Year's Eve, we always stay up past midnight, at least I do. Sometimes my wife dozes off.. :LOL: So we'll be up watching a recording of people in New York braving the elements at midnight (we're on the West Coast). I'll have a glass of single malt and be snacking from a charcuterie tray...
