Quote Of The Day 04.11.25

“No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks.” -James Allen
I've read somewhere that it's nearly impossible to feel unhappy and thankful at the same time—and I’ve found that to be true. Keeping a little gratitude journal has brought more light into my days, and I always try to let people know when I’m thankful for them. How about you? Have you said thanks to someone lately? We’d love to hear your story!

I always say thank you to anyone who does something for me..opening a door, allows me to go ahead in a line and even a cashier in a store. It's common courtesy and a great conversation starter.

I always say thank you. And with a smile, they never cost a bit. When growing up i taught my 2 boys the 3 magic words PLEASE THANK YOU AND MAY I?

I thank people who open doors for me because I use a walker. I appreciate it so much because I could do it myself, but some doors are hard to open.

I absolutely agree, @MsRusty! A simple "thank you" could brighten anyone's day, and you're right, it can lead to a little chat too!

What a beautiful legacy to pass on, @Arkie98! I remember learning about the magic words too! A kind word and a smile really do go a long way.

That’s such a gracious way to put it, @GreyPat —yes, being independent doesn’t mean you don’t appreciate a helping hand now and then. And your “thank you” surely makes that small kindness feel even more meaningful.
