General Discussion Thread 05.10.2025

Hey GrayViners!

It’s the weekend, and you know what that means—time to dress up and have some fun! Whether you’re putting on your favorite comfy clothes or stepping out in something bold, now’s the time to wear whatever makes you feel your best.

Speaking of which—let’s take a walk down memory lane! What’s the silliest fashion choice you’ve ever made? Maybe it was those wild bell bottoms, a mullet that made waves, or shoulder pads that could’ve been mistaken for a pillow! 😂

Let’s see who’s brave enough to share their fashion "oops" moment, no judgment here, we’ve all been there!

As always, feel free to drop anything else on your mind or just share something that made you laugh today. The thread is wide open!

Looking forward to your hilarious (and maybe even embarrassing) fashion stories!

I was attending a very important dinner. I wore a nice skirt and top and had the most ridiculously high heeled leopard heels on. I could hardly walk. Needless to say I haven't worn them since!

I was wet from sunning myself after swimming. Got a call from A cousin having problems.i grabbed a top, which I ended up putting on backwards, threw on shorts and ran out in flip flops. Well did not notice that I had on one blue and one black flip flop. But I was in a hurry to get to my cousin which is a 20 minute drive with no traffic.

When I was in high school, in pep club we were putting on a skit of cheerleaders throughout history and I had to wear a long dress with a bustle. It was early in the morning and I had to walk to school with that ridiculous outfit on. A lady was letting her dogs outside and saw me walking by and stopped mid-sentence calling her dogs. I think maybe she wasn't quite sure she was actually seeing what she saw.

I think back what we had to wear on iniation day becoming a freshman. Other than that full skirt with at least 4 heavy starched under skirts under it. Then trying to figure out how to set with the skirt not flipping up.

Someone gave me a pair of square toed shoes, black on the back and white on the front. It was 1968, I was in the 8th grade.
