Hello Grayviners,

I hope your weekend was full of good energy, tasty treats, and maybe even one delightfully unnecessary purchase you can’t stop smiling about. You know the kind the thing you didn’t really need but now swear by more than your morning coffee.

So, spill the beans: what’s the best impulse buy you’ve ever made? A quirky gadget, a funky outfit, or maybe tickets to a show you “weren’t going to get” but totally did? Let’s start the week with some fun stories and proud splurges, jump into the comments and share your favorites!

And if that doesn’t spark a memory, feel free to share whatever's on your mind—whether it’s a heartwarming moment from this week, a fun fact you just learned, or something that made you smile. This space is yours to connect, reflect, and engage with your fellow GrayViners.

Let’s kick off this morning with some good energy—share your stories, memories, or whatever’s on your mind below and let’s brighten up this Monday together!

What’s going through YOUR mind today?

I was twelve, browsing through the Morgan Memorial, a vast collection of used clothing and assorted junk in Boston. I saw a typewriter, old, very big, clearly from an earlier technological era. I didn't know how to type, but the thing seemed to me beautiful and somehow meaningful. It was eight dollars, I think.
I bought it, as well as an instructional book on typing. So began a long career of letters, school papers, and most of all poems. It was the best deal I ever made.

Clark's. I love shoes but couldn't bring myself to spend that much on candles. Clark's are not in my budget. I got a pair that was on sale and I love them. Now I have 2 pair.

Love these purchases! @tshandy do you still have the typewriter? I'd love to see a photo of it! And @oneillbonnie I refused for so long to get an airfryer, and now that I have one, I love it so much!!! It's the best!!
