Remembrance Day is this Monday
Remember those who served in the military and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice

Thank you so much for sharing this, @NIBOR0 . I can only imagine how vivid that memory still is. I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope those fond memories you hold bring you some comfort today. Your father’s bravery—and your family’s strength—will not be forgotten. Sending you warmth and respect.I remember back in 1967 when I was six years old answering the door and seeing 2 soldiers in full dress that asked for my mother. We lived on base in the Philipines and we all had a maid. Mom told our maid to take me and my 3-year old sister for a walk. I can still hear my mother screaming as they told her my Dad had died in the name of duty as we walked down the street. It took me years to come to terms with it, being the Vietnam War. I have several fond memories of my Dad and am thinking about him a lot today.
