General Discussion Thread 05.31.2025

Hey there, dear GrayViners! Sophia here, easing into a quiet weekend and letting my thoughts wander a bit. There’s something about a slow Saturday that makes space for a little reflection, don’t you think?

So here’s today’s gentle question:
If you could give your younger self a small gift from your life today, what would it be? It doesn’t need to be anything grand—just something that would’ve meant everything back then. For me, I’d gift a concert ticket—the one I couldn’t afford but dreamed about. I’d tell her to scream every word and dance like no one’s watching.

How about you? What would you send back in time, and why? I’d love to hear your stories.

I would gift a locket with a picture of me on one side and a picture of the person I am gifting the locket to.

I would offer my younger self a personal message that everything is going to work out alright.

Happily I would allow my younger self to run away and stay away as far as possible without looking back. That would have been a big step in being healthy in mind spirit and my physical and mental wellbeing.

I would give myself every album the Beatles evrr made. I have most but couldn't afford them all. I am 76 and I am still a Beatlemaniac and still have my Beatles albums and some 45's.
