What a charming memory! The Buster Brown Show definitely left its mark—especially with Froggy and that unforgettable “magic twanger” line! And how sweet that you loved the shoes too. Did you ever have a pair of Buster Browns that made you feel extra special? Really appreciate you sharing this @ghandi44 — it brought back a bit of magic from a bygone era!
And the black cat, Midnight. He was scary!!!

Besides all my favorite Saturday morning shows, I would rush home from work to watch the Howdy Doody Show and Pinky Lee and when I was a little older, the Mickey Mouse Club, with the Hardy Boys, Spin and Marty, and the one with Darlene and the dog. (forgot the name of that one).

Every afternoon I watch The Waltons. Just gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling and a yearning for the simplicity of a time gone by.

I loved Dark Shadows. When I got home from school I immediately put it on. Sunday night in our house was Disney and Bonanza. My dad would get our weekly ice cream and we all watched television. I miss those days. I am 76 now.
What a beautiful memory—thank you for sharing it @Gibb . Dark Shadows was such a unique show, and I can just imagine the thrill of racing home to catch it. And those Sunday nights sound absolutely lovely—ice cream, family time, Disney and Bonanza. Moments like that stay with us forever. Do you ever revisit any of those old shows now, just for a little nostalgia? It’s truly touching to hear about the simple joys that brought your family together.

I watched Fury with my grandmother on Saturday morning. I like Sky King and American Bandstand. There was one TV and 2 men who like sports so I was subjected to that a lot.
Thank you for sharing such a vivid snapshot of your Saturdays @mmull — it’s great that you had Fury time with your grandmother, and that Sky King and American Bandstand found a place in the mix too. Appreciate you taking us back to those early TV days—such a special era.
