Hey GrayViners!

Let’s settle one of life’s most important household debates once and for all…

What’s your go-to thermostat number to stay cozy all year long?

Are you a 69-er who likes a little nip in the air, or do you keep things toasty at 75 with a sweater just in case?

I’ll go first: I’m the kind of guy who lives for that just right in-between temp—not too hot, not too cold—so I keep mine locked in at a steady 72 degrees like it’s sacred. Feels like a warm hug without breaking a sweat!

How about you? Drop your magic number below—we’re all curious to know how our fellow GrayViners roll when it comes to home comfort!

Cheers!
Blue 💙

72 at night and 73 during the day during the summer. We usually keep it at 74 during the winter months. We do live in the Midwest which I'm sure makes a difference in what your thermometer reads.

Although we’re in our 70’s we keep the temp at 68/69 year round. We live in Kentucky now but we spent 20 years in North Dakota serving in the military. Both places were kept at the same temperature. At night however, we set it at 65. That made for a great night’s sleep. 😴
Plus neither of us hogs the blanket! Neither of us cares for hot and humid! ☀️
Besides we can always put more clothes on when we’re chilly, but in the heat of summer we can only take off just so many clothes and remain decent! 😏

I live with my daughter, son in law and 9 year old granddaughter. We have agreed to a compromise and keep it about 70 all year round. We turn on the ceiling fans drawing up in the winter and down in the summer. It keeps the temperature pretty even and if I get cold in the winter I just keep a cardigan sweater handy!

i have window a/c units. At night I keep my bedroom unit at 65F. I live in Mississippi so we are always fighting humidity. In daytime I keep it around 70F.

Sounds like an ideal plan for the whole family!

Im an older, 70-ish senior citizen and like the house thermometer about 77, but my better half says 75 and so compromise at 76. I like San Diego weather but cant afford to live there.

72* for me also, although my husband would love 68*. That is too cool for me
In the winter he sets it at 67* at night. I am under plenty of covers. so I don't say much. You have to pick your battles.
