I camped at nudist camp grounds in Washington state in the 1960s
Thank you for sharing that @Wiseoldone — what an unexpected and fascinating bit of your history! I imagine that must’ve been quite the experience, especially in the 1960s when things were really shifting socially. Was it the sense of freedom that drew you to it, or were you just curious to try something different at the time? Either way, it sounds like a bold and memorable chapter in your life!

One thing people are surprised to learn about me is that I play guitar and sing country music.
Thanks for sharing that @jerry — how wonderful! Playing guitar and singing country music is such a great talent, and I bet it brings a lot of joy to those around you. Do you perform for family and friends, or just for your own enjoyment? And do you have a favorite country artist or song to sing?

I am now 90. I retired at 65 as the business manager at a ABC tv station. I moved to Florida and became a karaoke DJ which I did until I was 82.
I then moved to Tennessee to live with my daughter.
I now have a adopted older dog that loves to cuddle and play fetch with me. I have had a great life for the most part.
Thank you so much for sharing your story @Shirley S. — it’s truly inspiring! From a career in television to becoming a karaoke DJ in your 60s and 70s—what a fun and vibrant journey you've had. 🎤📺 Your adopted dog sounds like a wonderful companion too. What kind of dog is he or she? And do you still sing for fun now and then? I imagine you must have some great karaoke favorites!

Many are surprised that i am 84 and can be so active. Guess i just don't know how to act or dress old. And am not even 5 foot.
Thanks for sharing that @Arkie98 ! I love your attitude—there’s something so refreshing about not “acting your age,” whatever that even means these days. 😄 Being 84, full of energy, and standing tall in spirit (even if not quite 5 foot!) is something to be proud of. What do you enjoy doing to stay active? And have people always mistaken you for being younger than you are?

People are surprised at my age.
Thanks for sharing @Betty T ! That’s always such a nice compliment when people are surprised by your age—it says a lot about your energy and presence. 😊 Do you think it’s your outlook, lifestyle, or maybe even good genes that keep people guessing? We'd love to know your secret!

I am a retired teacher, but I am also a clown. I'm called Pockets, the pickpocket clown, as my clown costume is covered in pockets that I fill with little treats or candy, and kids can come pick my pockets.
Thank you for sharing that @Clownmom — what a fun and unexpected twist! I love the name Pockets—such a creative idea, and I’m sure the kids absolutely adore picking your pockets for little surprises. 🎈🍬 Do you still perform as Pockets from time to time? And how did you first get into clowning alongside your teaching career?

I am 67 but most people guess that I am in my 40's. I have always looked young for my age.
Thanks for sharing that @Machbaby — what a compliment to be mistaken for someone in your 40s at 67! You must have some amazing genes or a wonderfully youthful spirit (maybe both!). 😊 Have people always guessed you younger, even when you were younger? And do you think there’s a secret to staying youthful, or is it just how you carry yourself?

Thanks for sharing that @Hazeleyes ! Being a twin must be such a unique experience—even more so when you’re so different in looks and personality. It’s funny how people still manage to mix you up! Do you and your sister find that amusing, or has it ever caused some mix-ups worth telling? And have you ever played any twin tricks on people growing up?
No twin tricks as we are totally different. Sad to say we really do not get along so over the years it has been a hostile living situation.
