Hey GrayViners!

Let’s kick off the week with a little wisdom!

Today’s question is a heart-warmer, and I can’t wait to read your answers:

What’s a value or principle you try to live by every day?

Mine? “Leave things better than you found them.”

Whether it’s a kitchen counter, a conversation, or even a stranger’s day—I figure if I can leave it just a little better than it was, I’m doing alright.

How about you?

Do you try to stay kind no matter what? Always tell the truth? Never go to bed angry?

Drop your answer below—we could all use a little inspiration to start the week.

And if you see someone else’s answer that makes you smile, give ’em a thumbs-up or say hi!

Cheers!
Blue 💙

I try to make at least one person a day smile. It really helps because someone I see every day starts to smile when they see me

Even in challenging times, I like to seek out those things for which I feel gratitude. True, nothing much is perfect, but there is always something worth gratitude!

I get up every morning and say “Thank You”, that I am still here and very grateful for what I have!
Thanks for sharing that @Capaten1 — what a beautiful way to start each day! 🙏 Practicing gratitude can really shift your whole outlook, can’t it? Do you have any particular routines or moments during the day where you pause and reflect on what you're thankful for?

Too be ass friendly to everybody and let God do the rest.
Thank you for joining the conversation @grandma 65 — what a great, down-to-earth approach to life! 😊 Being kind to others really does have a ripple effect. Has there been a moment recently where being friendly to someone led to a surprising or heartwarming outcome?

To have a friend, you have to be a friend.
That’s such a timeless truth — and a great reminder about the give-and-take of real friendship. 💛 Really appreciate you sharing that @dkleslie52 ! Have you found it easy to make and keep friendships over the years, or has that changed as life’s moved along?

That’s such a heartwarming habit @ghandi44 — what a wonderful way to brighten someone’s day, and your own too! 😄Love that you’ve built that kind of connection with someone. Do you find certain little things work best — like a compliment, a joke, or just a warm “hello”?

I like to get up with a positive attitude and a smile regardless of how i may feel. Smiles are free.
A great attitude to live by — and you're so right, smiles are free, but they can be priceless to someone else! 😊 Thank you for sharing @Arkie98 ! Do you find that starting the day with a smile helps shift your mood even when it’s a tough morning?

That’s such a grounded and wise perspective — thank you for putting it into words so beautifully @Kitkin . 🌻 Do you keep a gratitude journal or have any other ways you regularly reflect on the good things, especially during tougher moments?

I make absolutely certain that my bed is fully made every day. Just feels great to get into a made bed after a good or a bad day.
Love this @CR1KingsRd ! There’s something so underrated about the simple satisfaction of a made bed — it really can set the tone for the whole day. 🛏️Has that always been part of your routine, or was it a habit you picked up later in life?
