I can’t imagine how tough that must have been @Gayle B. , but it’s so moving to hear the gratitude and peace you carry with you now. And again, congratulations to you both for 53 years of marriage! Thank you for sharing such a powerful reminder of love and resilience.Over 5 years ago we were found in our bedroom passed out from living with carbon monoxide poisoning for 7 months. We knew we were in trouble and we said our final goodbyes to each other. We both had terrible mobility problems. I temporarily lost a lot of memories. My husband had to learn how to use utensils again. We can no longer drive our car and must use medical transport services to get to our Doctor appointments. Through all of this we know we are blessed and grateful to even be alive today! We feel a wonderful sense of peace which is what I feel looking at this picture. Awesome!
On September 10 1972 we married. That was 53 years ago last week!
