Wicked — what a fantastic choice! I imagine the music and energy must have been incredible on the big screen. Thank you for sharing @Jacky ! When you saw it, was it part of a special cinema event or just a regular showing?

I have been to the movies 4 times in the past two weeks. Three times to watch Hamilton on the big screen and once to watch the new Downton Abbey movie!
Wow, four trips in two weeks — that’s wonderful! Thanks for sharing @Lp7729 . Hamilton must have been incredible to see on the big screen (three times, no less!), and Downton Abbey would have been such a treat too. Do you think you’ll keep up this movie streak, or were those films just too good to miss?

O wow I don't even remember, I went with my son in law, and we watch two movies the same night, it was awesome and the smell of popcorn wow I luv it , but I haven't gone in more than 5 years.
That sounds like such a fun night out — two movies back-to-back and popcorn to top it off! Thank you for sharing that memory @Cochy . Do you think you’d like to go back again soon, or are you happier watching movies from the comfort of home these days?

The last movie I saw was A Star is Born with Lady Gaga. I went with my Meetup ladies group. I don't like going to the theater because I feel overwhelmed with the sights and sounds. Have to have a glass of wine when I go.
A Star is Born is such a powerful movie — what a great choice to see with your Meetup ladies group! Thanks for sharing that with us @mmarple . I can completely understand how the big screen experience can feel overwhelming at times. Do you find you enjoy movies more when you watch them at home, where it’s a bit calmer?

1996 and it was one of the Highlander movies.
Highlander — now that’s a classic! Thanks for sharing that memory @Debij9999 . Do you still enjoy rewatching those kinds of action-fantasy films at home, or has your movie taste changed over the years?

I haven't gone in years. Last I took my Granddaughters to see a Disney movie. I can make popcorn at home and watch movies.
That sounds lovely — taking your granddaughters to a Disney movie must have been such a special outing! Thank you for sharing @tennis . Do you and your granddaughters still enjoy movie nights together at home with your homemade popcorn?

Going tonight to see Sight and Sound's Daniel Live.
That sounds amazing — Daniel Live will surely be a powerful experience! Thanks for sharing this with us @Wellman . Have you seen other Sight & Sound productions before, or is this your very first one?

My Grandson and I went to see Superman before he went to college. We always went to the theater to see the new Superhero movies when he was younger. It was nice to continue it before he left for college. I was surprised he wanted to be seen at the movie with this old lady.

Somewhere around 1980 or 1981, the little woman and I had a movie night. I do not remember the name of the movie, but that was fine; I had the love of my life with me.
What a beautiful memory — sometimes the company really does matter more than the movie itself. Thank you for sharing that with us @Justme . Do you and your wife still enjoy cozy movie nights at home together these days?

This probably sounds silly, but the last time we went to the cinema was the movie M * A * S * H. The theater on our Air Force base was really cheap in 1971 when we were dating. The movie choices weren’t the greatest but we could stay on base and date cheaply. Getting a good movie on base was like having to wait until it’s released to streaming. Sad but true nonetheless. 😅
Not silly at all — that’s a wonderful memory! Thank you for sharing it with us @Gayle B. . I love how you tied it to your dating days on the Air Force base — what a special time. Do you still enjoy watching M * A * S * H or other classics now, maybe on TV or streaming?

I went a while back to see the last (supposedly) of Mission Impossible
Mission Impossible is always such a thrill to see on the big screen — perfect choice! Thanks for sharing @CATBIRD . Do you think it really was the last one, or do you suspect Tom Cruise has a few more missions left in him? 😊

Thanks for sharing @Hazeleyes ! Ten years is quite a while — I bet movies feel really different now compared to back then. Do you think you’d like to go back to a cinema one day, or are you happier watching movies at home these days?
Since I am caregiver for my disabled and blind mother I do not get to go out much. She really not into movies so we just watch a lot (she listens to) a lot of tv shows. She likes law and order and a lot of the old tv shows which we can get on catchy comedy channel.

It's been so long I cannot remember!!
That’s okay — sometimes the memory of how long it’s been is stronger than the movie itself! Thanks for sharing @dkleslie52 . Do you think you’d like to go back to a cinema one day, or are you perfectly happy watching movies at home now?
