20-Minute Honey Garlic Shrimp

This 20-minute honey garlic shrimp is quick, simple, and bursting with flavor. With a sweet-and-savory sauce made from honey, soy, and garlic, it’s the perfect healthy dinner to whip up when you want something satisfying fast. Serve it over rice, noodles, or a crisp salad for a complete meal that’s sure to become a weeknight favorite.

Ingredients:
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (reduced sodium recommended)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 tsp jarred minced garlic)
  • Optional: 1 tsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1 lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • Optional for garnish: chopped green onion
Directions:
  1. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using).
  2. Pour half of the mixture over the shrimp in a sealed container or bag. Marinate for 15 minutes (or up to 8–12 hours).
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink on one side, about 45 seconds.
  4. Flip the shrimp, pour in the remaining sauce, and cook for 1–2 minutes until done.
  5. Garnish with green onion and serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
