Ingredients:
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce (reduced sodium recommended)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 tsp jarred minced garlic)
- Optional: 1 tsp minced fresh ginger
- 1 lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 tsp olive oil
- Optional for garnish: chopped green onion
- Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using).
- Pour half of the mixture over the shrimp in a sealed container or bag. Marinate for 15 minutes (or up to 8–12 hours).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink on one side, about 45 seconds.
- Flip the shrimp, pour in the remaining sauce, and cook for 1–2 minutes until done.
- Garnish with green onion and serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
