Charlotte Rae was the heart of The Facts of Life, playing Mrs. Edna Garrett, the guiding force behind the Eastland girls.

Her nurturing character earned her an Emmy nomination in 1982 and the affection of millions of viewers.

Rae continued acting long after the show, appearing in films like You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Ricki and the Flash, and lending her voice to 101 Dalmations: The Series.

She passed away from bone cancer in 2018 at age 92, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations.

Mindy Cohn as Natalie Green​

Mindy Cohn became a fan favorite as Natalie Green, whose confidence and humor broke barriers for body positivity on TV.

Beyond acting, she became an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and gained new fans by voicing Velma in the Scooby-Doo franchise.

Cohn faced a private battle with breast cancer for five years before going public in 2017, saying, “I was frustrated and enraged. I couldn't control any of this. I couldn't fix it.”

She’s since returned to acting, appearing in Holiday Dirt, You Light Up My Christmas, and A Nice Girl Like You.

Kim Fields as Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsey​

As Tootie, Kim Fields brought charm and mischief to the Eastland crew and became known for her braces and quick wit.

After the show, Fields starred in Living Single, joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and competed on Dancing with the Stars.

She’s also built an impressive directing career, working on projects like Meet the Browns, House of Payne, and The Upshaws.

Married to actor Christopher Morgan, she’s a mother of two and continues to shine both in front of and behind the camera.

Lisa Whelchel as Blair Warner​

Lisa Whelchel’s Blair Warner embodied the confident, privileged girl who eventually grew into one of the show’s most beloved characters.

After The Facts of Life, she pursued a Grammy-nominated Christian music career and later became a motivational speaker.

Whelchel returned to acting in Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas and continued with holiday and romantic films, including Hearts of Spring and You Light Up My Christmas.

She remarried in 2019, balancing family life with occasional screen appearances and public speaking engagements.

Nancy McKeon as Joanna Marie “Jo” Polniaczek​

Nancy McKeon’s entrance as the tough, motorcycle-riding Jo became one of TV’s great introductions.

She went on to star in several shows, including The Division and Panic, and also appeared in Sonny with a Chance as Demi Lovato’s mother.

McKeon reunited with her former castmates for You Light Up My Christmas in 2019 and appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2018. She now enjoys a quieter life with her husband Marc Andrus and their two daughters.
