70s Disney icon passes away at 60: A farewell to a cherished childhood star

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of a cherished star who shaped childhood memories for an entire generation.

With unforgettable performances, this icon left a lasting legacy of joy and nostalgia.

Christian Juttner's journey to stardom began with the spark of inspiration from his mother, who introduced him to the world of acting.

At the tender age of eight, he made his first screen appearance in a 1972 episode of ABC’s Bewitched, setting the stage for a career that would capture the imaginations of young audiences everywhere.

Throughout the 70s, Juttner became a familiar face on television, starring as Teddy in the first season of The Bionic Woman from 1976-1977, where he shared the screen with Lindsay Wagner's Jaime Sommers.

His versatility as an actor was evident through his various TV credits, which included appearances on Wonder Woman, The Rookies, Ironside, two ABC Afterschool Specials, and seven installments of The Magical World of Disney.

Perhaps most memorably, in 1978, Juttner took on the role of Earthquake gang member Dazzler in Return From Witch Mountain, acting alongside screen legends Bette Davis and Christopher Lee.

That same year, he portrayed Beatles fan Peter Plimpton in Robert Zemeckis' directorial debut, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, and appeared as Paul Durant in The Swarm, starring Michael Caine.

After his final onscreen appearance in a 1981 episode of General Hospital, Juttner stepped away from the limelight.

He and his father, John, founded a glassworks business in Saint Croix in the Caribbean, where he channeled his creativity into a new form of artistry.

Later, he established his own glassworks business in Santa Clarita, California, continuing to express his passion for craftsmanship and design.
