Why Las Cuatro Milpas is closing​

Voltaire Lepe, the family’s realtor, explained, “They’ve been working here all their lives. Just like any business owner, everyone owes money to different government agencies.”

The property—including two residential units—is currently listed for just under $2 million, with offers being accepted through August 6.

The family is open to selling the business along with the building if the right buyer steps forward.

Las Cuatro Milpas isn’t the only long-standing Mexican restaurant to close in recent months.

In San Antonio, Oscar’s Taco House closed after 63 years to make way for a bridge.
