A Dying Wish

There once was a man who spent his whole life saving every penny and guarding his money like a treasure. Just before he passed, he made his wife promise: “When I die, I want you to put all my money in the casket with me, so I can take it to the afterlife.” She promised, hand on heart, that she would.

The day of the funeral came, and as the undertakers prepared to close the casket, his wife called out, “Wait just a moment!” She walked up with a small metal box, placed it inside, and nodded for them to close it.

Her friend leaned over and whispered, “You didn’t really put all that money in there, did you?”

“I most certainly did,” the widow said firmly. “I promised him I would.”

Her friend gasped. “You mean to tell me you put all his money in the casket?”

The widow smiled and said, “Of course. I gathered it all up, put it in my bank account… and wrote him a check. If he can cash it, he can spend it.” :ROFLMAO:
