A quintessential home accent

These clocks were the kind of treasures that could stop you in your tracks at a thrift store. With their polished designs, intricate gears, and soothing chimes, they had a charm that’s tough to find in today’s timekeepers! But the charm goes beyond the clock itself—it was about the stories it held. Just imagine the dinners it chimed for, the quiet nights it marked, and the memories it kept. Did you have one of these back in the day? Share a story with us below!

Have the one that was my mother’s. Still works. It’s just a conversation piece now as she passed away over 70 years ago and there is no one in the area that does clock repairs. So I don’t mess with it.

I have one handed down from my mother in law after she passed. It's battery and keeps perfect time. Why would I even think of dumping it?
