Did you know that the universe has a specific color? In 2002, astronomers trying to determine the average color of the universe analyzed the light from over 200,000 galaxies. The result? A pale, beige-ish hue now officially named...

Cosmic Latte.

Despite the deep blues and fiery reds we see in space photos, when all that starlight blends together, the universe's true average color turns out to be a hue reminiscent of a warm, milky coffee (which you can see in the photo above).
