A&W Drive-Ins​

Do you remember when A&W drive-ins were the place to be? Those big, cheerful statues holding burgers and frosty mugs of root beer seemed to wave you in for a bite — and who could resist? Whether it was a Friday night family outing or a pit stop while cruising with friends, nothing topped the joy of an ice-cold root beer in a heavy glass mug and a perfectly messy burger delivered right to your car window. While my husband and I were dating, we escaped to the A&W and get 2 coney dogs and 4 root beer floats! After we were married we still went to their drive in. One difference was that we bought 2 of their signature glass mugs! Now, some 52 plus years later we still use them for floats here at home
