Ingredients:
  • 5 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced, plus a few whole, for garnish
  • One 6-ounce container of blueberries
  • One 6-ounce container of raspberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Juice 1/2 orange
  • 4 cups low-fat 2-percent Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • One 17-ounce store-bought angel food cake
Method:
  1. Macerate the Berries: In a bowl, combine the berries with sugar and orange juice. Let them sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes to release their natural juices.
  2. Prepare the Yogurt Mixture: In a separate bowl, mix yogurt and honey until smooth and spreadable.
  3. Assemble the Trifle: Slice the angel food cake into large chunks using a serrated knife. Layer one-third of the cake at the bottom of a medium trifle dish. Top with a portion of the syrupy berries, followed by a layer of the yogurt mixture (reserving a few spoonfuls for garnish). Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
  4. Chill & Serve: Finish with the reserved yogurt in the center and fresh whole strawberries. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight) before serving.
