Hi, yep…I’m Deb and yes I live in Alabama. Huntsville,…aka Rocket City. We reside near Redstone Arsenal and it can be quite noisy! But we truly love it here, very friendly, a melting pot full of interesting people from all over the country, lots of diversity, thousands of engineers, some rocket scientists, and a generous amount of southern hospitality!
I’ve recently taken up baking sourdough bread…while dieting, go figure! I gift a lot of my bread to family, friends and neighbors. It’s a 150 year old San Francisco sourdough starter and it’s absolutely delicious!
It has rained here for 4 days solid, and more coming tonight and tomorrow. Who’s ready for Spring?

Welcome to the TGV community, Deb! It’s a treat to have someone from Rocket City join us. Your description of Huntsville paints such a vibrant and welcoming picture—sounds like a fascinating place to live. That sourdough baking journey sounds both delightful and tempting, even while dieting! What a thoughtful way to share some love with your community. Here's hoping the rain lets up soon and Spring shows up in full bloom!
Looking forward to seeing you more in the forum! Here's to more adventures and great conversations!
