Bee Dance

Bees may be deaf, but that doesn’t stop them from communicating in a lively way—through dance!

Each bee dance serves a purpose, from sharing nectar locations within 10 meters with a Round Dance, to celebrating with a Joy Dance, or even asking for a massage with a Massage Dance. Foraging bees signal the need for backup with a Shake Dance, and warn of dangers with an Alarm Dance. When a nectar source is found far away, they perform the famous Waggle Dance, detailing distance, direction, and sweetness. Got a fun fact of your own? Share it with us in the forum and let’s keep the buzz alive!
