Beef Steak Fried Rice

This restaurant-quality dish combines tender beef with perfectly seasoned rice for a satisfying meal that beats takeout!

Ingredients:
  • 300g (10oz) beef steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
  • 3 cups cooked jasmine rice (day-old works best)
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup frozen peas & carrots mix
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • White pepper to taste
Directions:
  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in wok over high heat. Cook beef for 1 minute until browned but still pink inside. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add remaining oil. Sauté garlic and onion for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Push ingredients to one side, pour eggs on the other side and scramble.
  4. Add rice, breaking up clumps. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Mix in sauces, vegetables and beef. Cook for 1 more minute until heated through.
  6. Finish with green onions and sesame oil.
