Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Crackled, fudgy, and dusted in sweet powdered sugar—these Chocolate Crinkles are a timeless holiday cookie, though they're welcome any time of year. Think of them as little bites of brownie bliss, with a delicate shell and rich, chewy center. 🍫❄️

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
Directions:
  1. In a medium bowl, mix the cocoa, white sugar, and vegetable oil.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually stir this into the cocoa mixture until fully blended.
  4. Cover the dough and chill for at least 4 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat each one with confectioners’ sugar.
  7. Place them 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. The edges should be firm, and the cookies should have that signature crinkled look.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to wire racks.
