Classic Goulash

This stick-to-your-ribs recipe proves that dinner doesn’t need to be fancy to be downright delicious.
Ingredients:
Set your slow cooker to High. After browning the beef and onions (steps 2-3), transfer the mixture to the preheated cooker. Add all remaining ingredients, including the dry macaroni, and stir to combine. Cook on High for 1 hour.

Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 cups water
- 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dried Italian herb seasoning
- 1 tablespoon seasoned salt, or to taste
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- Prepare your ingredients.
- In a large Dutch oven, sauté the onion in olive oil over medium-high heat for 3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef, crumbling it as it cooks until browned (about 5 minutes). Stir in the garlic and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Pour in the water, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, seasoned salt, and bay leaves. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring once.
- Mix in the dry macaroni. Cover and simmer for 11-13 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.
- Take the pot off the heat, remove the bay leaves, and serve.
