A surprising crossover is lighting up the Star Wars and soda communities, and it’s got collectors scrambling.
Coca-Cola and Disney have launched a limited-time “Coca-Cola x Star Wars: Refresh Your Galaxy” campaign just in time for summer.
The rollout includes 30 character-themed cans and bottles starting in early July, with several rare designs available only in select parks.
With a mix of nostalgia and smart tech integrations, the campaign is already generating serious fan buzz.
Each can design features a Star Wars character from across the franchise's eras, from the Original Trilogy to The Mandalorian.
Thirteen characters appear on Coca-Cola Original Taste, including Lando Calrissian, Queen Amidala, and Kylo Ren.
Fourteen characters appear on Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, such as Darth Vader, Grogu, and Princess Leia.
The final three designs are available exclusively at Disneyland Resort in California, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and Tokyo Disney Resort vending machines.

This partnership has deep roots, as Coca-Cola and Disney have been creating shared experiences together for nearly 70 years.
“For generations, Coca-Cola and Disney have shared a commitment to creating moments of joy and human connection,” said Islam ElDessouky, Global Vice President, Creative Strategy & Content at Coca-Cola.
“This collaboration is about more than just bringing together two iconic brands – it’s about celebrating the power of Star Wars fandom, shared passions, and the strength of community when we lift each other up.”
Fans of both brands say this might be one of their most collectible efforts yet.

Beyond the visuals, the campaign adds interactive experiences through augmented reality and holograms.
Fans can scan select cans or campaign ads to unlock messages from characters like Yoda and Darth Vader.
A cinematic TV spot set in a movie theater is launching in tandem, aimed at amplifying the emotional connection for viewers.
There’s also a unique AR experience that adds a digital layer to the collectible fun.
Star Wars fans have already taken to social media and forums to show off their creative uses for previous Coca-Cola collaborations.
“I now have two of the themed coke products from Hollywood Studios Galaxy’s Edge – Sprite and Diet Coke. For those who have kept theirs from trips what have you done with them? Mine are currently in my kitchen at home and I was thinking about putting some fairy lights in them but I’m curious to know what others have done with theirs!” said one user.
Another added, “I’m a Star Wars nerd so the 2 I have from last trip are sitting on a shelf with other Star Wars merch. I like the ornament idea somebody else mentioned.”
Collectors looking to complete the set should keep an eye on grocery stores and convenience locations as July approaches.

For longtime Star Wars fans, this campaign taps into both personal nostalgia and shared cultural tradition.
Whether you saw A New Hope in 1977 or streamed The Mandalorian last week, the designs aim to resonate across generations.
“Star Wars is a powerful cultural force around the world, with millions of fans across generations who carry these stories off the screen and into their lives,” said Mindy Hamilton, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Partnerships at The Walt Disney Company.
“This custom campaign is for them and inspired by them.”
