Coming soon: Costco’s latest locations revealed—is your city on the list?

Attention, bulk-buying aficionados!

If you’re a fan of Costco’s legendary deals, oversized essentials, and free samples, get ready—several new locations are set to open their doors soon, bringing even more opportunities to shop and save.

With Costco surpassing 900 locations worldwide, this expansion is a bold move in a shifting retail landscape.

While many brick-and-mortar retailers are struggling, Costco is doing the opposite.

The Issaquah, Washington-based company has confirmed plans to open 29 new locations by the end of its 2025 fiscal year, which runs until August 31, 2025.

Of those, six stores will open in the US next month, adding to its already massive footprint of 897 warehouses worldwide.

These six new US locations will push Costco’s total store count to 903:
  • Sharon, Massachusetts - March 1
  • Brentwood, California - March 7
  • Highland, California - March 8
  • Genesee County, Michigan - March 13
  • Prosper, Texas - March 14
  • Weatherford, Texas - March 15
Opening dates are based on Costco’s website, except for Genesee County, Michigan, which was reported by local media. Keep in mind that dates may change due to construction schedules and city requirements.

The growth doesn’t stop in March—three additional stores are set to open in months ahead:
  • Stuart, Florida (April 2025)
  • Minami Alps, Japan (April 2025)
  • Ardeer, Australia (2025)
With these new locations, Costco is proving that demand for bulk savings and exclusive deals is still strong worldwide.

Costco’s rapid expansion isn’t just about adding new locations—the company is experiencing record-breaking financial growth.

In the first 22 weeks of its fiscal year, net sales surged 8.2% to $113.55 billion, with US comparable sales rising 6.6% during that period.

Analysts anticipate even stronger performance in the coming months, projecting Q2 2025 revenue to grow over 7% to $63 billion, while net income is expected to reach $1.8 billion, marking a 4.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

Costco raised membership fees in September 2024 for the first time since 2017. Here’s what it costs to shop there now:
  • Gold Star Membership: $65 per year
  • Executive Membership: $130 per year (includes a 2% annual reward up to $1,250 and extra discounts on services)
Despite the increase, many still find value in Costco’s bulk pricing and exclusive perks.
