Corned Beef Hash

A comforting classic made simple—crispy potatoes, savory corned beef, and a touch of Worcestershire sauce for that perfect nostalgic flavor. Whether for brunch, lunch, or dinner, this easy skillet meal brings warmth and satisfaction in every bite.

Ingredients:

  • 700g (1.5 lb) potatoes, peeled and chopped into 3cm cubes
  • 340g (12 oz) tinned corned beef, cut into 1cm cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (or Henderson’s Relish)
  • Sea salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Boil potatoes until tender, then drain well.
  2. In a pan, heat oil and sauté onion for 5 minutes.
  3. Add potatoes, corned beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook on high heat for 5–10 minutes until golden and crisp.
  5. Optional: Pop under the grill for extra crunch.
  6. Serve warm—topped with a fried egg if you’d like that extra touch!
