Ingredients:
  • Spaghetti​
  • Bacon​
  • Ground Round​
  • Yellow Onion & Garlic​
  • Salt & Pepper​
  • Chili Powder​
  • Worcestershire Sauce: For rich umami.​
  • Fresh Oregano & Ground Cumin​
  • Garlic Powder​
  • Brown Ale​
  • Plum Tomatoes​
  • Kidney Beans​
  • Tomato Sauce​
  • Hot Sauce​
  • Sharp Cheddar & Scallions​
Directions:
  1. Boil salted water, cook spaghetti as directed, drain, and set aside.​
  2. Crisp bacon; transfer to paper towels.​
  3. Increase heat; brown ground round until no longer pink.​
  4. Sauté onion, garlic, pepper, and 1 tsp salt until soft; add chili powder, Worcestershire, oregano, cumin, and garlic powder until fragrant.​
  5. Stir in brown ale (scraping bits), then add tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, hot sauce, and remaining salt; simmer until thickened.​
  6. Toss spaghetti with sauce and top with cheese, bacon, and scallions.​
