Don’t delay—time’s almost up to claim your part of Google’s $100 million payout

You might have used Google AdWords years ago to promote your business.

Now there’s a $100 million settlement—but you need to act quickly. If you don’t file a claim by the deadline, you’ll miss out.

Every eligible advertiser can claim a payout based on how much they spent on affected ads.

Google settled over allegations it charged advertisers for clicks that didn’t meet its own standards, including clicks from outside targeted areas or bundled search partners.

Although Google didn’t admit wrongdoing, the company agreed to this settlement to resolve the case.

Know which group you belong to

There are two separate classes in this settlement:
  1. Location Targeting Class
  • Advertisers who used AdWords from January 1, 2004 to March 22, 2011 and paid for clicks outside of their chosen geographic region.
  1. Search Bundled Clicks Class
  • Advertisers active from June 1, 2009 to December 13, 2012, who were charged for clicks on search partner sites without separate pricing.
If either applies to you, you’re likely eligible for a payout based on your total spend in those categories.

How much money can you get?

Payouts will depend on how much each advertiser spent on questionable ad clicks.

Some may get a small check, others much more—it all comes down to individual ad budgets.

Google has agreed to pay $100 million to settle claims involving its AdWords platform.

The lawsuit alleged advertisers were charged for clicks from users outside their target areas, though Google denies any wrongdoing.

Those eligible may receive cash payments based on the amount they spent on ad clicks from users outside targeted geographic areas.

Each payment will vary, and a valid Google AdWords Customer ID is required to file. The deadline to file or opt out is July 20, 2025.

There’s another settlement you might qualify for

If your data was affected by the May 2024 Neiman Marcus breach that allegedly exposed customer information and led to identity theft and fraud, you may be eligible for up to $2,500

You don’t need a purchase receipt. Just submit your claim before August 19, 2025.

Even a small settlement check can validate your efforts and remind large corporations that fairness matters. Every payout reinforces accountability and consumer protections.

If you advertised with Google AdWords during the eligible periods, don’t miss this last chance to claim what’s owed to you. Even modest payouts are worth the effort—and they’re your money.
