Serves: 4
Active Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 ½ teaspoons lemon zest
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3 medium cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Directions:
- Season the chicken.
Pat the chicken tenders dry and place them in a large bowl. Sprinkle with lemon zest, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss until everything is coated and fragrant. - Sear until golden.
Melt the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook for 6–8 minutes, turning once halfway through, until nicely browned and the centers reach 165°F. Transfer the tenders to a plate—don’t clean the pan. - Make the lemon–garlic drizzle.
Lower the heat to medium and add the lemon juice and sliced garlic to the same skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, until the garlic softens and smells wonderful, about 2 minutes. - Finish and serve.
Spoon the warm garlic mixture over the chicken. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon (or serve wedges on the side). Enjoy as-is or pair with rice, roasted veggies, or a simple salad.
