Ingredients:
Directions:

Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger (or more to taste)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or more to taste)
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 2 ounces shredded carrots
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 quart peanut oil for frying, or as needed
- 8 (7-inch square) egg roll wrappers
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional)
Directions:
- In a large bowl, season the ground pork with ginger and garlic powder; mix until thoroughly combined.
- Cook the seasoned pork in a medium skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked pork, shredded cabbage, and shredded carrots; mix well to create the filling.
- In a small bowl, mix the flour and water to form a paste; this will be used to seal the egg rolls.
- Lay one egg roll wrapper on a clean work surface with a corner pointed toward you. Place about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the filling in the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the left and right corners toward the center. Roll the wrapper away from you, sealing the top corner with a bit of the flour paste.
- Heat the peanut oil in a large skillet to about 375°F (190°C). Fry the egg rolls in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, about 5 to 8 minutes.
- Remove the egg rolls from the oil and drain on paper towels or a wire rack. If desired, sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
