Emperor's New... Sculpture?!
Hey GrayViners!
Ever heard of art that makes you question reality itself? Well, here’s a fun fact that might just blow your mind!
Did you know that in 2021, Italian artist Salvatore Garau sold an invisible sculpture titled Io Sono ("I Am") for over $18,000?
The piece doesn't exist in a physical form; instead, it's meant to be displayed in a 5x5-foot space, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and specific installation instructions. Garau describes the work as "made of air and spirit", challenging our perceptions of art and value.
What are your thoughts on this concept? Is it a profound statement on the nature of art, or does it push the boundaries a bit too far? Let's discuss!
