The Worst Offenders in Customer Service

Dunkin'
, the chain famous for its coffee and donuts, takes the dubious crown for the worst customer service.

According to the survey, 10.5 percent of reviews shared negative experiences with service, from unhelpful staff to overcharges.

One frustrated New Yorker even took to Google to share their dissatisfaction.

But Dunkin' isn’t alone in the doghouse.

Taco Bell, despite its creative menu, has customers complaining about app glitches, unengaged employees, and lackluster drive-thru service.

One customer from Los Angeles even shared their frustration about being told to leave the drive-thru and walk to a window to pick up their order.

Wendy's, Starbucks, and McDonald’s are not far behind, with 9.9 percent, 8.4 percent, and 7.3 percent negative reviews, respectively.

These findings show that even the most beloved chains aren’t immune to customer service slip-ups.

The Bright Spots in Dining Out

It’s not all bad news, though.

The survey also highlighted some shining examples of great customer service.

Dave's Hot Chicken and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers earned top marks, with an impressive 83 percent of reviews praising their service.

These chains have fostered a welcoming environment, where staff are friendly and locations are clean.

Dave's Hot Chicken has even attracted celebrity fans like Drake and Samuel L. Jackson, thanks to its flavorful Nashville-style spicy chicken.

Freddy’s is known for its fun atmosphere and top-notch hospitality, serving up delicious steakburgers and creamy frozen custard.

Other chains that received high praise for customer service include Playa Bowls, Pita Pit, and Arby’s, with 81 percent, 80 percent, and 77.6 percent positive reviews, respectively.

These restaurants show how a focus on customer satisfaction can cultivate loyalty and bring customers back time after time.

What You Can Do

Before heading out to eat, consider checking online reviews to get an idea of the service you can expect.

If you find a place that treats you well, be sure to return.

If not, take your business elsewhere.

And if you do encounter poor service, don’t hesitate to share your experience.

A polite and honest review can help the restaurant improve and guide other diners in making better choices.

This survey serves as a reminder that customer service is a critical part of the dining experience.

It’s not just about the food; it’s about the treatment you receive from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave.

Good service can turn a meal into an experience you’ll want to repeat, while bad service can ensure you never come back.
