According to a public alert from the US Food & Drug Administration, the recall affects select boxes of Casa Mamita Churro Bites Filled with Chocolate Hazelnut Cream.
The product was sold exclusively at ALDI locations in 13 states.
These churro bites were distributed in 7.05-ounce cardboard boxes.
Only boxes labeled with lot number 01425 and a “Best If Used By” date of July 14, 2025 are impacted.
So what’s the reason behind the sudden recall?
The FDA states that the churros may contain milk, but the label does not mention it.
That missing information could pose a serious health risk to anyone with a milk allergy.
The mistake was linked to a “temporary breakdown” in packaging processes, according to the product’s manufacturer, Camerican International.

Milk is one of the top allergens in the United States and must be clearly declared under FDA guidelines.
Failing to list it properly makes the product dangerous for allergy sufferers.
Though the issue has now been resolved, dozens of boxes were already sold without proper labeling.

Thankfully, no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported as of now.
Still, the FDA advises those with milk allergies not to consume the product.
Instead, customers can return it to any ALDI location for a full refund.
Or, if you prefer, simply dispose of it at home.
