First Day Jitters
A passenger tapped the taxi driver on the shoulder to ask a question.
The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly collided with a bus, hopped up onto the sidewalk, and came to a stop just inches from a store window.
For a moment, everything was still. Then the driver turned around and said, "Hey, don’t ever do that again. You scared me half to death!"
The passenger, feeling guilty, said, "Sorry, I didn’t think a little tap would freak you out that much."
The driver replied, "It’s not really your fault. Today’s my first day as a cab driver—I’ve been driving a hearse for the last 25 years!"
