- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour

- Zest of 1 orange

- 8 ounces package cream cheese
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon orange extract
- 1 cup whipping cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar
Fruit Topping
- 1 pint strawberries washed, hulled, sliced, and patted dry
- 1 pint blueberries washed and patted dry
- ½ cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes). Mix in the egg and extract until well incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until fully combined. Stir in the orange zest.
- Shape the dough into a ball, then flatten it into a circle on parchment paper the size of a half-sheet pan. Roll and press the dough to about ⅓ inch thickness, creating decorative edges if desired. Transfer the parchment with the dough onto a baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least an hour.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Bake the crust for 18-25 minutes, until the edges turn golden and the center is set but still soft. For a crisper crust, bake longer. Let the crust cool completely.
- Once cooled, whip the cream cheese, orange extract, and brown sugar together until fluffy. In a separate bowl, whip the cream and powdered sugar to medium-stiff peaks. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
- Spread the cream cheese topping evenly over the cooled crust (you may have extra topping—perfect for dipping fruit or crackers!). Arrange the fruit decoratively on top.
- To drizzle chocolate, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bag in 20-second intervals, kneading until smooth. Snip a small corner of the bag and drizzle the chocolate over the fruit pizza. Refrigerate until serving.
