Garlic Butter Shrimp

Done in 10 minutes!

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1 lb Large shrimp (peeled and deveined, preferably with tails left on)
  • 3/4 tsp Sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
Method
  1. In a small bowl, mash together the butter, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, and red pepper flakes. (The lemon juice may not fully incorporate, which is fine.) Set aside.
  2. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season all over with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a medium cast iron skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Keep the garlic herb butter nearby.
  4. Add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook, without moving, for 1-2 minutes, until browned on the bottom.
  5. Flip the shrimp and immediately add the garlic herb butter to the pan around the shrimp in pieces. Sear the shrimp for 1-2 more minutes, basting them with the butter occasionally until the butter melts and the shrimp is opaque.
