Here’s a fun one to kickstart today's conversation: What’s the most memorable piece of advice you’ve ever gotten from a total stranger?

For me, it's from someone I met in line at a grocery store. They said, "Never grocery shop on an empty stomach." I tried it once, and it made me avoid buying unnecessary stuff—I've been doing it for years now.

I was told that people don’t break our heart, our expectations break our heart. So drop ALL expectations, and you can create your own unbreakable heart. The best advice I ever received.

A gentleman in church who I don’t know, was typing in his bible app on his phone and he showed me how to do it. This will be tremendously helpful to me. I have always written notes in my bible but today I learned how to do it on my phone.

As we were enlisted Air Force members we had to see a base chaplain before we could get married. We were advised to hold off having children until we knew each other more. We would be advised to both have incomes so we would have a better chance of surviving our meeting our budget. The thi thing was to keep our families out of our marriage. We needed to work together and not complain to family about our problems.
So as it happened we couldn’t have children but cared for many of them. We would not have changed anything about our lives together!
These 3 points were terrific for us. That union was over 52 years ago now and still going strong!

My mom was in nursing home not doing good I went to Walmart there was this old gentleman there all I seen was him and he told me everything was going to be alright mind you I had never met the man but anyway felt such peace after I talked to him went back to nursing home and mom had to go on hospice so i have never forgotten that
