If you could instantly master any skill—no practice required—what would it be and why?

Alright, I’ll play along! If I could instantly master any skill, I’d go with woodworking. There’s something so satisfying about creating beautiful, functional pieces with your own hands—imagine crafting a cozy bookshelf or a dining table without accidentally gluing your fingers together. Plus, I’d love to surprise friends with handmade gifts that don’t look like they were put together by someone who struggles with IKEA instructions.

How about you? Would you become a piano virtuoso, a fluent polyglot, or maybe a DIY wizard who can fix anything with duct tape and sheer willpower? The possibilities are endless, and we want to hear what you would choose!

I was an accomplished musician as a youth. And while I enjoy my competitive chorus with Sweet Adeline’s, I wish I played the viola like I did when I was a dorky kid.

Hi, I would love to become a painter. It seems so soothing. I would be challenging because I'm legally blind but no excuses. I follow a painter who is completely blind and has her own studio in NYC.
