General Discussion Thread 05.30.2025

Happy Friday, dear GrayViners! 👋 How's your morning? I hope you woke up feeling fresh and energized. If not, shall we have a little chat here to try turning things around?

I’ve been thinking about how to spend the weekend with some much-needed alone time. Maybe I’ll just sit somewhere quiet, ponder life a little… and eat cake. I’m torn between visiting my local coffee shop or taking a little trip back to my old university by the mountains to reconnect with nature. What do you think I should do? I’d also love to hear what YOU do to wind down. Or perhaps you'd like to share your plans this weekend? Tell me all about it in the comments!

I could eat a whole cake! Image source: Nano Erdozain/Pexels

Sweets of some kind, into the forest I would go, if I could. But I go out back with my dogs and watch nature. We have wild rabbits, roadrunners, and hawks to watch and my garden. There is a wash with trees behind us

Definitely renew & rewind with a trip in nature! Not only will the Vitamin D refresh your body but the commune with your Creator and His glorious creation will calm and renew your soul! Then go for the coffee ☕

Reconnect with nature. Take your cake with you and share it with the wildlife. I live in the country and I will be curled up with a good paperback book.

Go with your nature visit taking along all of the munchies you choose. Take treats for the birds and little critters too. Maybe prepare for a crafty adventure by collecting flowers or leaves to press and preserve to put in a scrapbook or something else like that. Preserving your adventure for remembering at anytime can bring back your special moments of your adventure to mind.
You can relax at your local coffeehouse anytime! No big deal! If your goal was to be alone being in your neighborhood coffeehouse with people in and out who will stop for a word with you. No alone time there!

You should take the trip and reconnect with nature. I chose that as I am limited on sweats because of medical issues.
To unwind I either read a book or watch television.
This weekend I plan on finishing my bathroom project. I already took off the wallpaper and spackled what needed it. Before I sanded it. I have to add spackle to a couple more spots and sand. After that paint. (Antique white)
