Happy hump day, dear GrayViners! đź‘‹ How are you doing?

I hope your week is already shaping up to be better than the last. I was out and about all weekend, and now I’m craving a full recharge. I’m dreaming of those slower afternoons—when time stretches out and the only thing on your to-do list is not having one. Maybe plop on the couch, put something on the TV, and drift off before the second commercial break. How about you? What’s your favorite way to spend a lazy afternoon? Let’s have a chat in the comments!

And if you have anything else you'd like to share or discuss, feel free to post it here. You could also chime in on our front porch forums, like this one!

Relaxing at home watching a good movie or reading a good book or take a nap or a walk. Occasionally I will go for a drive usually with a friend or 2 to the mountains in a small town. I like to wander down the main street, and see the shops and go inside certain shops. Estes Park, Co is one of my favorites. Of course there is always fishing.

Due to our mobility issues a lazy afternoon is spent in our leisure chairs binging on TV shows we like or binging on movies. Both ways involve buttered or caramel popcorn . Or putting on some vinyl albums and just chill out. Works for us!

My relaxing seems to be on my patio with a big glass of iced tea and either a good book or doing a cross word book. That is my favorite thing to do is cross words.

Oh my gosh, I wish I have afternoons like yours, @Jimvk3! One of my frustrations in life is that we don't have a nearby park where I could just sit down, sketch, and maybe have a little snack. I'd have to travel for 1-2hrs to be able to do that. I also like windowshopping, and I almost always end up buying little knickknacks. Are you the same?

Ohh I like having buttered popcorn, too, when I watch my fave tv show. Also, I'm curious, what's your go-to album to chill to?

That patio setup sounds sooo inviting—iced tea, a breeze, and a good puzzle to sink into. Although I'm more a Sudoku gal! Do you enjoy TGV's crosswords?

I love curling up on my recliner with a comfy throw and a good book. Comfy throw year around, my husband freezes me every summer with AC

I veg out to my first albums I ever bought for myself after my training was over and I settled in the women’s dorm in North Dakota. The very first album was Tapestry by Carole King. The next 2 were The Sounds of Silence and Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel. They let me ease on down the road as it were. 🎶
