How are you doing, dear GrayViners?

I’ve been feeling a little nostalgic lately and was reminded of a moment from years ago, when a former boss asked our team to give a quick presentation on anything under the sun. I ended up talking about writing poems—pulling together whatever I could still remember from my college days.

It got me thinking: If you had to teach a class on one random thing, what would it be? I’m excited to read your answers!

I would teach young ladies how to country cook. Things that my grandmother and mother taught me when I was young. Girls growing up today only know how to order at a fast food joint. I cook three meals each week any carry to friends. This week I cooked collars, black eyed peas, slaw, pork loin and corn bread for one of my meals. The next day I cooked meat loaf with cream potatoes, gravy, green beans and biscuits. On Fridays I always make sandwiches, either chicken salad or ham salad, a soup and either a salad or quiché. I Make one cake each week end so that they can have something sweet the next week. Those that like it EAT, those that don't like that days meal can always go to a fast food joint. I think the art of cooking is fast being lost.

I would teach a class on how to give your cat a spa day - from a stress free bath yo teeth brushing a ear cleaning. I would also need to include nail care and a complete blow dry with no scratching. I do this for my cat every other week and he loves it!!

When I was 19 and living in Evanston, WY I became a substitute teacher at the local high school. One of my favorite topics to teach them was how much it was going to cost them to move into their 1st apartment in just cleaning supplies i.e broom, mop, dish soap, toilet cleaner, toilet brush etc. I just loved the look on their faces when I went over the cost of those items before they ever bought groceries.

I would teach a class for beginning sewers because I know it’s very hard to get started I think I could help them
