Hey, GrayViners!

Today’s home-style face-off is all about windows:

If you could only have one forever, would you rather dress your windows with blinds or curtains? 🪟

No mixing and matching, no layering — just one trusty choice for life.

Curtains bring warmth, softness, and a touch of style, while blinds are sleek, practical, and easy to adjust for light and privacy.

So… which side are you on? Do you choose elegance and coziness, or control and simplicity?

Make your case. Defend your window dressing!

May your views be clear and your takes even brighter,
Sophia

Love my blinds! When we moved back "home", curtains, drapes, etc. were the LAST thing I wanted and it really was a smart & beautiful accessory!

I actually like to combine them by having mini-blinds framed with long panels on the sides. The curtain or drapery panels don’t move but they add color to the window without obscuring the view and clean look of the blinds.

We are wishy washy on this topic. Our bay window has electric shades. More like battery operated. Just push the remote to raise or lower the 3 sections of windows.
Except for the bedrooms, the rest are blinds. We hung blackout curtains in our bedroom and regular light curtains in the other 2 bedrooms. I told you I was wishy washy. As long as we have batteries, I would stick to the shades. They are a lot easier to keep clean by just dusting them off.
