Hey, GrayViners!

The week is finding its rhythm, and things are humming along nicely. As we settle into another busy day, I thought we could take a little nostalgic detour—straight to the fairgrounds. 🎡

What fair food brings back the best memories for you?

Maybe it’s the warm smell of kettle corn drifting through the air, a classic corn dog with just the right crunch, or that first bite of fried dough covered in powdered sugar. Maybe it’s cotton candy that stuck to your fingers—or the giant lemonade you could barely hold with both hands.

Food at the fair has a funny way of pulling us right back to simpler times—childhood summers, first dates, or family weekends spent wandering from booth to booth. So let’s indulge in a little trip down memory lane:

👉 What’s your all-time favorite fair treat, and what memory does it bring back?

Was it the taste, the smell, or the company that made it special? Share your stories below—I have a feeling this one’s going to make us all hungry and sentimental. 💛

Cheers,
Sophia

A different perspective on Fair food. It was a big deal when I was a kid to go to the Nebraska State Fair which was a 3 hr drive from where we lived. And my Dad agreed to splurge and have us eat lunch at one of the various dine in cafes on the fair grounds. He didn't feel well after eating and said in the future we would bring our own food. When we went to the local county fair, we only were there, 2-3 hrs, and were not allowed to indulge in any fair food.

Funnel cakes, cotton candy and candied apples. We did not have these now either. These choices surprise me because chocolate is my love language! 😋 🫨
