I’m trying to finish my holiday shopping early this year, but I’ve hit a gift-giving wall—and I need your help. 🎁 Tell me: Would you rather receive a gift you need or a gift you want? Share your answer with us, and feel free to toss in your favorite gift ideas, too!

I would rather get gifts I need.
Over the years I tried making up my own gift baskets based on the people’s nationality (put food items from their country) , for older people things that they can always use (toilet paper, dish towel, face tissue, paper towel along with a gift card to a store you know they shop at).

while it is always to get a special gift I would always choose something we need, like lights and heaters for when the power goes out. thank you

Since I was 10, I've always hoped for books. Cherry Âmes and Happy Hollisters. Later Danielle Steel. And now James Patterson.

I usually buy what I need. My wants are few and I am hard to buy for. I like gifts that I wouldn't mind having but wouldn't buy for myself. I like restaurant gift cards. They are a real treat.

Any would be ok but some thing i needed would be great. I fix up a small box at Christmas for my Sister and it is always things she really needs. Quarters for laundry for one thing and then as a special surprise it is some thing she wanted. No knickey knacks though

I myself, and I think most people too would receiving a gift they want. As it brings more joy and pleasure, even if its not something they absolutely need.
