Thanksgiving in Boston's West End in the 1940's: Of course there was a turkey, cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes, but the star of the meal was Ma's cake, expertly frosted with the score of the Latin-English game on the top. I went to Boston Latin School and my brother went to English High School, so the rivalry was personal. And there was a parade down Tremont Street with floats just like in New York.

Hi tshandy! What a wonderful slice of history! I can just picture the cake with the game score on top—such a clever and personal touch. It must have made the rivalry even more fun! And a parade down Tremont Street with floats sounds absolutely magical, like a classic holiday scene. Thank you for sharing such a special memory—it really brings the spirit of the season to life! 😊

Thanksgiving in Southern California is a bit different. Another sunny and 70° day.

Traveling to Los Angeles to celebrate with family.

Some of our neighbors already have their Christmas light shows on display.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Sounds like a quintessential SoCal Thanksgiving—sunny skies and warm vibes! Traveling to LA to celebrate with family sounds lovely, and those early Christmas light displays must really add to the festive spirit. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving, Larry! 😊
