Get paid without lifting a finger: How can you claim your share of $43M without proof

In a world where claiming compensation often feels like a bureaucratic nightmare, there is finally some good news.

An insurance corporation is offering millions of dollars in payouts—and for many eligible Americans, no paperwork or proof is needed to cash in.

If you qualify, this is your chance to secure a payment without the usual red tape.

The settlement scoop: Progressive's $43 million payout

Progressive Premium Insurance Co. and its affiliates are settling a $43 million class action lawsuit.

The case centers on allegations that Progressive undervalued customers’ car insurance claims in Georgia, using a flawed methodology that left policyholders shortchanged.

Rather than admitting any wrongdoing, Progressive has agreed to pay out millions to resolve the claims and move forward.

Who’s eligible for a payout?

If you are a Georgia resident who made a first-party claim involving a vehicle that relied on an Instant Report from Mitchell with a Project Solid Adjustment applied to at least one comparable vehicle, you could be entitled to compensation.

The eligibility window covers:
  • Claims on a Progressive Mountain Insurance Co. policy made between October 11, 2015, and February 18, 2025.
  • Claims on a Progressive Premier Insurance Co. of Illinois policy between June 8, 2016, and February 18, 2025.
Progressive Corp., the parent company, offers a range of insurance coverage, including for vehicles, homes, and businesses.

What you can expect to receive

The estimated payout per claimant is around $173, though the final amount could vary depending on how many people qualify. The best part? You don't have to fill out a claim form.

Unless you opt out by April 30, 2025, you will automatically be included and receive your payment after the final approval hearing, scheduled for May 15, 2025.

It’s truly one of the rare instances where eligible consumers don’t have to jump through hoops to get what they are owed.

Other settlements you should know about

This Progressive settlement highlights the power of collective legal action to hold companies accountable. And Progressive isn't the only company recently caught up in controversy.

A hefty $22.5 million settlement is now available after major poultry producers were accused of conspiring to inflate chicken prices.

Meanwhile, a separate $3.6 million class action settlement has been reached over allegations involving certain eye drop products, offering relief to consumers who may have been affected.

If you think you might qualify for the Progressive settlement, don't delay in reviewing the details. Keep an eye on the opt-out deadline and make sure your contact information is up-to-date to ensure you receive your payment.
