Get your slice of a $3.6 million settlement—no receipts required

Ever feel like you’ve missed out on one of those quiet little wins—like a refund or rebate you didn’t know you qualified for?

Well, this might be one of those rare chances to claim a piece of something, without jumping through too many hoops.

If you’ve bought certain over-the-counter eye drops in the past few years, there’s a new class action settlement you’ll want to know about.

And the best part? You may not need any receipts to get a payout.

The $3.6 million class action settlement stems from a lawsuit claiming certain eye drop products were deceptively labeled.

At the center of the case is the ingredient silver sulfate, which the plaintiffs allege posed potential risks that weren’t clearly communicated to consumers.

The company behind the products has denied any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the case out of court.

What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is an alternative medical practice that uses very small doses of natural substances believed to help the body heal itself.

While it has its supporters, many remain skeptical of its effectiveness—and this lawsuit brought further scrutiny to some homeopathic products.

The eye drops in question were marketed as “sterile,” but the lawsuit argued that due to the silver content, they required careful handling to maintain safety.

Which products are included?

Several Similasan products are named in the lawsuit, including:

  • Similasan Dry Eye Relief
  • Similasan Complete Eye Relief
  • Similasan Allergy Eye Relief
  • Similasan Kids Allergy Eye Relief
  • Similasan Red Eye Relief
  • Similasan Pink Eye Relief
  • Similasan Kids Pink Eye Relief
  • Similasan Aging Eye Relief
  • Similasan Computer Eye Relief
  • Similasan Stye Eye Relief
  • Similasan Pink Eye Nighttime Gel
  • Similasan Dry Eye Nighttime Gel
Certain private-label homeopathic eye drops sold at CVS and Walgreens are also part of the settlement:
  • CVS Pink Eye Drops
  • Walgreens Stye Eye Drops
  • Walgreens Pink Eye Drops
  • Walgreens Allergy Eye Drops.

Who is eligible to claim?

If you purchased any of the listed products between September 11, 2017, and February 20, 2025, you may be eligible to receive compensation.

Here’s how it works:
  • Without proof of purchase: You can claim up to four products at $2.50 each, for a total of up to $10.
  • With proof of purchase: There’s no cap on the number of items you can claim, still at $2.50 each.
The actual amount you receive could vary depending on how many people file claims—fewer claims mean a larger share for each claimant.

Why class actions matter

Class action lawsuits give everyday people the power to hold large companies accountable for misleading claims, harmful products, or unfair practices.

By participating, you also typically agree not to pursue separate legal action in the future.

In this case, while the company did not admit fault, the settlement ensures consumers can still receive some compensation.

How to file your claim

To check your eligibility and submit your claim, you can fill out a form online.

The process is simple—and even if you don’t have receipts, you could still receive a payout.
